Health & Character Requirements
- Medical exam: Required for Non-Immigrant O-A (retirement) visa — must be performed by an approved hospital. Certificate must show applicant is free from leprosy, tuberculosis, elephantiasis, drug addiction, and syphilis.
- Health insurance: Mandatory for O-A retirement visa — minimum THB 40,000 outpatient and THB 400,000 inpatient coverage from a Thai-approved insurer. Recommended for all other visa types.
- Vaccinations: Yellow fever certificate required if arriving from an endemic country. No other mandatory vaccinations but Hepatitis A/B and Typhoid recommended.
