Introduction

Peru is one of South America's most visited countries. Main airports: Jorge Chávez International (LIM) in Lima, Alejandro Velasco Astete (CUZ) in Cusco. Immigration is managed by the Superintendencia Nacional de Migraciones. Most tourists arrive visa-free and can stay up to 90 or 183 days depending on nationality.

Visa-Free Entry

Citizens of most Western countries, LATAM nations, and many Asian countries enter visa-free. US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Chile, Argentina, Brazil and most other South American nationals do not need a visa. The period granted on entry is typically 90 days, which can sometimes be extended to 183 days total. The period is stamped in your passport on arrival.

Peru eVisa

For nationalities that require a visa, Peru offers an eVisa at visaelectronica.rree.gob.pe. The eVisa costs USD 30 and takes 3–10 business days to process. It allows a single entry for tourism or business.
