Nepal eVisa & VOA Fee Structure 2026

Nepal's visa fee structure is clear and consistent whether you apply online (eVisa) or on arrival (VOA): USD 30 for 15 days, USD 50 for 30 days, and USD 125 for 90 days. These are the official fees set by the Department of Immigration. There is no surcharge for applying online versus on arrival; the eVisa is simply more convenient as it avoids queues at the airport.

SAARC & Indian Nationals — Free Entry

Citizens of India do not need a visa to enter Nepal and can do so with a valid Indian passport or government-issued photo ID card. SAARC national citizens (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) are eligible for free visas on arrival at designated entry points. Conditions and duration limits may vary for different SAARC nationalities — check immigration.gov.np for the latest bilateral arrangements.

Extension Fees

Tourist visas can be extended at the Department of Immigration offices in Kathmandu (Maitighar) or in Pokhara. Each 15-day extension costs USD 30. The maximum total stay in Nepal on a tourist visa is 150 days in one calendar year. All extension payments can be made in USD cash or equivalent Nepalese rupees. Overstaying without extension attracts a fine of USD 5 per day.

Payment Methods

eVisa payments at immigration.gov.np accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Visa on arrival payments at TIA and land border checkpoints accept USD cash (most common), Nepalese rupees, and may accept cards at some locations. Carry sufficient USD cash if applying on arrival at remote land border crossings. All fees are non-refundable once paid.
