Introduction

Oman is one of the safest countries in the Middle East and increasingly popular with tourists. Main entry points are Muscat International Airport (MCT) and Salalah Airport (SLL). The Royal Oman Police manages immigration and visa affairs. The eVisa system (evisa.rop.gov.om) is the primary route for most visitors.

Oman eVisa

Citizens of 100+ countries can apply online for an Oman eVisa. Options include: 10-day single entry (OMR 20 ~USD 52), 30-day single entry (OMR 20), and 1-year multiple-entry (OMR 50 ~USD 130). Processing is usually instant to 3 business days. The eVisa is sent by email as a PDF to present on arrival.

Visa-Free Entry

GCC nationals (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE) enter visa-free. Citizens of many countries also receive visa on arrival. Some nationalities (US, UK, EU, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore) previously received free visa on arrival — check the current list at the Royal Oman Police website as policies change.
