Returning to the USA from Abroad
When returning to the USA after international travel, US citizens must present their US passport at the port of entry. US passport cards are accepted at land and sea crossings but are not valid for international air travel. If your passport has expired abroad, the US Embassy can issue an emergency travel document.
Living and Working in the USA as a US Citizen
US citizens have unrestricted rights to live, work, and study anywhere in the United States. If you are interested in becoming a US citizen through naturalisation, contact USCIS (uscis.gov).
